Assertive

We saw B’s neurologist last night, he’s managing B’s medication and monitoring any seizure activity. Whenever we see him he says to B ‘it’s good to have an assertive partner’. I take this as a compliment. He also thinks B has a ‘quiet dignity’. He must see a lot of gibbering wrecks. That’s just not B’s style.

He described what we’re going through as ‘the start of a marathon’. Without the pre-race training, presumably.
